30th December - It’s Your fault!

Look here Tumblr, I know I’ve been procrastinating on this but if you stop me from getting my photos up to date for December 31st I’m going blame it on YOU!

P.S. This post is evidence that we got there - yay!

29th December – Ferrero Rocher

I’m about to eat my favourite chocolate for the first time in years. I found it on the kitchen bench, and I decided to assume it was meant for sharing.

Just as I was enjoying it my sister walked in to tell me something, but I don’t know what that was because all I remember saying to her is that “I’m busy”.

28th December – Muesli

I can’t decide which part I like more, eating my muesli or preparing it the night before.
27th December – Sandwich Maker
Every time I make a sandwich for lunch, I feel like the Sandwich Maker from Douglas Adams’ Hitchhiker’s Series. I’m pretty sure he wouldn’t use white bread though.

26th December – Balcony View

It’s not the Sydney to Hobart race, but we can pretend can’t we?

25th December – Let Us Eat

Food is always the main event on Christmas Day.

P.S. Guest photoblogger of the day is Aline

24th December – Mmm, Bread

My first attempt at making this bread solo, and I think I did okay. I may have overdone the carob though, because it almost tastes like biscotti.

Richard’s German Bread Recipe

Combine:

3 cups of plain flour (use both white & wholemeal)

1 sachets of yeast

2 dessert spoons of carob powder

2 dessert spoons of seeds (e.g. pumpkin seeds, linseed, sunflower seeds)

1 teaspoon caraway

1 teaspoon (whole) coriander seeds

1 teaspoon fennel seeds and 1 teaspoon salt.

Gradually add water and form into a dough. Knead well, then shape into a round loaf. (You can also coat it with sesame seeds). Leave it in a bowl covered with a tea towel to rise for 1-2 hours until it doubles in size.

Bake at 180oC until cooked through (mine took 1-1 ½ hours).
